My new favourite food – and it’s not only easy, it’s also heart-healthy. You can whip this up with just one ingredient that you probably have in your kitchen right now. That mystery ingredient, of course, is banana! Frozen bananas turn creamy instead of crumbly in the blender, with a smooth and delectable texture.
Here’s a step-by-step recipe:
• Peel ripe bananas and cut into small chunks
• Freeze them
• Blend, blend, blend – scraping down the blender container if they stick. You can add a couple Tbsp of almond milk, plain yogurt, peanut butter or honey at this point if you like, but not really necessary
• Serve immediately (optional: sprinkle with a few sliced almonds or grated dark chocolate)

Thanks to http://www.kitchn.com for this yummy and healthy dessert idea – great way to use up those overripe bananas.

Such a simple yet brilliant idea for a sweet treat! I always seem to have a frozen banana or two in the freezer – this is a good use for them.
I really like your work here, Carolyn. Keep up the good work.

I’m dying to make this, but I only have a blender, no food processor. Will it still be as smooth then? 😦

Sounds good but you need to find a recipe without bananas. With my Congestive Heart Failure, they don’t allow me to eat them, I don’t know why I can’t have bananas but they are no longer in my diet. I really loved bananas.
